There are some people in this world who are truly inspirational, and Frank McEwan is certainly one of those. Frank is an old friend of mine from a neighbouring village who, despite enduring life changing treatments for terminal cancer, was himself inspired by Sir Captain Tom Moore and his family’s ‘100 Challenge’, and recently set his own goal to cycle 100 laps around the picturesque Rutland Water to raise as much money as he can for Cancer Research UK – aiming for up to 4 a day!
I have got back in the saddle and joined Frank for a few laps, and I have to say at 74 he is often hard to keep up with! The funds are doing really well, with a current total now of over £6,500, so if you feel you can help, you can donate via his funding site at https://gofund.me/512d2fce.
A remarkable man on a remarkable challenge.
East Midlands news recently covered Franks remarkable achievement.
