October Owl is a cover illustration for October, October by Katya Balen, to be published in September by Bloomsbury. It is a beautiful childrens story depicting the relationship between a young girl and a barn owl. I hope I have gone some way to echo the descriptions of the woodlands and scenery depicted in the book. In addition, I have also created a series of black and white linocuts which are used inside the book.
